Having completed your Pre course tasks which will be sent out in December / January we shall gather together at noon on the 18th March 2027, to spend the week in a deeply immersive learning journey, where you will become a Sacred spiritual funeral celebrant.
Conducting funerals, with so much heart, compassion & deep understanding. With strong sacred foundations, giving you the ability to officiate a funeral in a crematorium or an orchard.
the training will include
Foundations of Spiritual Funeral Ceremonies
Explore the role of the celebrant, funerals as rites of passage, ceremonial space, the Four Elements and creating ceremonies that reflect individual beliefs and wishes
Death, Grief & Bereavement
Develop an understanding of grief and bereavement, compassionate communication, active listening, supporting families and maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
Meeting the Family & Planning
Learn how to work with families and Funeral Directors, conduct consultations, gather memories and stories, understand family wishes and begin planning a personalised ceremony
Writing the funeral ceremony
Learn the structure and flow of a funeral, including openings, tributes, music, readings, poetry, prayers, storytelling, the committal, farewell and closing words. Writing their own ceremony.
Ritual & Symbolic Ceremony
Explore symbolic actions and rituals, including candles, flowers, earth, water, sand, personal objects, music and other elements that can personalise and enhance a funeral or memorial ceremony.
Burials, Cremations & Ceremony Delivery
Explore different funeral settings and learn the practical skills required to conduct a ceremony, including working with Funeral Directors, ceremony preparation, guest participation, timing, health and safety, voice and presentation

Practical Ceremony & Becoming a Celebrant Bring everything together through practical ceremony work. Students practise delivering a funeral ceremony, working with family participation, managing emotional situations and developing confidence, professionalism and presence as a celebrant. |
