Mineral Mix: Smokey quartz is a brownish grey, translucent variety of quartz that ranges in clarity from almost complete transparency to an almost-opaque brownish-grey or black crystal. Like other quartz gems, it is a silicon dioxide crystal. The smokey colour results from free silicon formed from the silicon dioxide by natural irradiation.

Our Personal View: Smokey Quartz is an excellent grounding stone. It appears to be more gentle for me than stones such as Tourmaline. It gently neutralises negative vibrations and is detoxifying on all levels. When I say detoxing, I mean it clears those negative vibes and thoughts, in a very subtle and clear way it also helps by prompting the elimination of toxins from the digestive system and not only that its excellent at protecting against radiation and electromagnetic smog & energy. Smokey Quartz disperses fear, lifts depression and negativity. When I hit a low point when my dog was extremely poorly, I slept with a huge chunk of Smokey in one hand every single night giving me the courage to make the right choice and then afterwards, I held the Smokey so tight for at least a month helping me through my sorrow and pain. It regulated my soul and helped me so very much. It brought emotional calmness, relieving all the stress and anxiety from the sad situation. It really can promote positive thoughts and action, and it is even said it alleviates suicidal tendencies. It dispels nightmares and helps you manifest your dreams. Smokey Quartz aids concentration and assists in communication difficulties. It's such an Incredible stone and one I couldn't be more grateful for.
